If you don't know what Poohsticks is, then here's a quick rundown...
Winnie and friends used to gather round on a quaint little bridge in the middle of the 100 Aker Wood to have games of "Poohsticks" together. This involved taking sticks and dropping them in the water - the winning stick was the first one to come out the other side. Virtual Poohsticks is the virtual incarnation of this fabulous game - the competition itself isn't what one might call thrilling - the VPS (as it's known) server sends off little emails and waits until they come back. You play in groups of 10 and race your "sticks" to your heart's content.
The best part of VPS, is the chat;
You get whatever you put into VPS - the message board is the main part, and the people on there are fantastic (now don't get big headed!) It doesn't attract your common chat customer - VPSters are a cut above the rest, united by one thing - they love Poohsticks.
The Bridge is imagination-central - you are limited only by the words you can use while on there - our latest extravagance was bringing in a bouncy castle and having a champagne party...! 2. Make your entrance, then slip into conversation.
There's nothing worse than some moron flouncing around the bridge while everyone's in the middle of a hot debate about breasts and they complain about being ignored - just get STUCK IN!!
3. No A/S/Ls
We don't know where you're from, and we don't care, unless it's pertinent to the discussion in hand. VPS is not MSN, and you don't come here for shags with Shelli from Bristol.
4. Sanity
Whether you are sound of mind or not, try and act like a normal human being, not a 16-year old Cuban soldier with Tourettes.
5. Have fun
We don't hate you. (yet) - if you get the ~unhelpful (usually off me) it's not normally anything personal.
