In no particular order; Abroad There is something amazing about going to another country, and being able to speak to the people that live there, find out more about their culture. I love it - and this is probably the reason I'm doing French, German and English. Germany is my favourite foreign country and I wouldn't mind living there, to be honest I just like their style. English people are so conservative, boring, fussy and cliquey. We're an island, so of course we have reason to be cliquey, but we just dont have any sort of culture to speak of. There's nothing you can do here that you can really say is typically English without being anachronistic and old-fashioned. Wouldn't you love to sit on the Champs-Elysees at a pavement cafe(sidewalk sounds so much better), or have one of those natty attic rooms that every German house seems to have? There is much more community spirit, and everything is so much better organised - the buses run ON TIME! It's just so not English! Rain You know, heavy rain, like on the films...we've had a lot of it here in Coventry quite recently, and I like nothing better (I'm sure that will soon change) than to sit and watch heavy rain fall on the street outside my window. It's peaceful, it's relaxing... Tulips Tulips are the nicest, prettiest flowers in the Botanical world. Don't ask me exactly why, but they just happen to be my favourite flowers. Like Daisies, they are happy flowers that are always there to brighten up your day whatever the weather. Formula One A much maligned and misunderstood sport if ever there was one - and one I just happen to want to make a career out of! All right, so it is 22 grown men going round in circles in cars even if they are very complicated cars on very complicated tracks. It would make me a very boring person if I went into the intricacies and tried to explain all this, so I'll just say that if you knock this, you really dont know what you're missing. If you do like F1, then DC is going to win the championship this year. Books Some people think that books are stupid, just for geeks, etc - well, as a professional geek, I can probably tell you this is true, but books are the most amazing things. You too could save thousands on therapy, just by reading a book. If you have a good author, the imagination, the escapism is amazing feel the sun on your face and the wind in your hair the raw emotion, and the descriptiveness is amazing, but I'm getting carried away, so all I can say is read a book! Poohsticks You'll have to see the page about it to believe it! Anne Robinson I love Annie, but you'll have to see the Things I don't like page |
